WILLIAMS are confident they are heading in the right direction ahead of this weekend’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
The Grove-based team have endured a disappointing start to the Formula 1 season, failing to score a single point in the first three races.
But drivers Lance Stroll and Sergey Sirotkin looked more competitive in China a fortnight ago.
And chief technical officer Paddy Lowe is hopeful the improvement continues in Baku.
He said: “Although they weren’t great results, and certainly not in the points, compared to where we were in Bahrain it was fantastic get two cars to the finish in 14th and 15th.
“We were certainly in the race, whereas in Bahrain we were not even competing.
“So it was a much more positive feeling for everyone and something we can build on.”
