ALEX Lynn is eager to produce a strong performance at his DS Virgin Racing team’s home circuit this weekend.

The Grove-based driver heads into round eight of the FIA Formula E Championship in Paris, bidding to bounce back from his retirement in Rome a fortnight ago.

Lynn, who sits 13th in the standings, has endured a frustrating start to the season with his strong pace in practice and qualifying not heralding results on race day.

But he is determined to impress today.

The 24-year-old said: “The Paris round if an important one for us at DS Virgin Racing, because it’s the home race for DS.

“That means it’s going to be an exciting weekend, and from our side it’s important to put on a good show.

“The team has always gone well here so I’m really looking forward to getting out on track.”

He added: “So far this season we’ve seen the speed was definitely there for me, and I was getting into the Superpole session regularly.

“But sometimes it was just a case of things not coming together in the races.”

The Grove-based Panasonic Jaguar Racing team sit fifth in the standings ahead of this weekend.
