GARY Waddock is back in frontline management for the first time since leaving Oxford United last summer.
The 53-year-old has been put in caretaker charge of Portsmouth for the final four games of the season, after Andy Awford left his position this morning.
Waddock, who was only head coach at the U’s for three months, was brought in as Awford’s No 2 in December and will lead the team for the first time at Stevenage tomorrow night.
Portsmouth are two places and two points above the U’s in the Sky Bet League Two table.
