SWINDON Town and Wycombe Wanderers suffered play-off agony over the weekend.
Swindon were thumped 4-0 by Preston North End, for whom Jermaine Beckford hit a hat-trick, in yesterday’s Sky Bet League One final at Wembley.
And 24 hours earlier, Wycombe were beaten 7-6 on penalties by Southend United, after the teams were ties at 1-1 after extra time in the League Two final.
It means Oxford United will face the Chairboys again next season.
