THE marquee bar at the Kassam Stadium will return for four games in the first half of the season, starting tomorrow.

Liontrust, whose logos are on Oxford United’s shirts, are sponsoring the FanZone, which has proved a hit with supporters after being trialled on Easter Monday.

It returns for the clash with Yeovil Town and will also be set up for the fixtures against Morecambe (October 26), Cambridge United (November 14) and Exeter City (December 26).

Other dates in the new year are being explored.

Kevin Smith, director of business operations at United, said: “Since the Priory pub closed, we are aware it has been difficult for fans to meet for a chat and pint pre-match.

“The support of Liontrust means that for the selected games this facility will now be available.”

Simon Hildrey, Liontrust’s head of marketing and distribution strategy, said: “This gives fans a place to meet before home games to chat about and analyse the week’s events before willing the team to victory.”
