GEORGE Baldock said he thoroughly enjoyed Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Portsmouth, but couldn’t believe the hosts didn’t take all the points.

United’s dominant display in the first half counted for little as the visitors equalised after the break for a share of the spoils.

It means that the U’s have collected just one point from their last two Sky Bet League Two matches, but in a clash which attracted a crowd of more than 9,000, Baldock said there was still plenty of reasons to be upbeat.

“I think it’s the two best sets of fans in the division,” he said.

“They were going toe-to-toe and the teams were too so I think it was a pleasing one to watch from all aspects.

“It’s just so frustrating that we couldn’t make it count because I feel we deserved the win.”

He added: “We aren’t happy with one draw from the past two games, of course we aren’t, that’s very disappointing and we expect more.”

United’s passing football allows Baldock the chance to get forward at every opportunity and despite the last two results, the MK Dons loanee is loving life with the U’s.

“The gaffer gives me the freedom to bomb forward and I love it,” he said.

“That’s why I’m enjoying my football so much.

“I am getting a lot of the ball and it’s great. But it was very frustrating not to get the result today.”
