OXFORD United have come in for praise for their display at Swindon Town - from Robins boss Luke Williams.
The U's had to play for more than 50 minutes with ten men after Alex MacDonald received a straight red card in the Checkatrade Trophy tie.
But they defended well and looked a threat on the break at times in the goalless draw at the County Ground.
The hosts went on to win the penalty shoot-out 3-1 to claim the bonus point, but Williams felt United deserved credit.
He said: “It should be easier than breaking down a team with 11 but full credit to Oxford, I thought they were excellent.
“I know it’s not a popular thing to say and I’m a Swindon fan now but I thought they were excellent.
"They worked incredibly hard and had the intention of trying to break and trying to score a goal on the counter."
He added: “This is a very good squad that Oxford have put together and they’ve got some real pace and ability in the top end of the pitch that caused Will (Henry) to make some saves.”
