JOE Skarz has done his bit this week to help Oxford United make the Kassam Stadium a sell-out.

The left back was a season ticket holder at Blackburn Rovers as a schoolboy and many of his family still support the club.

It has meant Skarz, who celebrated a year with the U’s last weekend, has been busy making sure everyone can watch the Emirates FA Cup fourth round tie.

He said: “My mum’s coming down, along with my nan, aunties and uncles.

“I had to ask Skip (Jake Wright) on the way home on Saturday what the ticket situation is because I will have to buy some extra.

“My phone will probably be going crazy on Friday but it’s a game I’m really looking forward to.”

Skarz revealed last month he was hoping for a game at Ewood Park, which would give him the chance to scatter his grandfather’s ashes.

It means he is one of the few people who wants a replay.

He said: “With the amount of games we’ve got we want to get through the tie on Saturday.

“But if we got a last minute equaliser, no-one would be more delighted than me to play at Ewood Park.”
