Oxford United make three signings

Oxford United have strengthened their squad by signing striker Justin Richards, midfielder Lewis Montrose and forward Josh Parker.

Justin Richards, who spent the second half of the 2007-8 season on loan with the U’s, joins on a month’s loan this time from Burton Albion and goes straight into the squad to face Sheffield United in the FA Cup third-round tie at the Kassam Stadium tomorrow.

Montrose has signed on loan from Gillingham until the end of the season.

Parker has made three substitute appearances since signing non-contract terms with the U’s before Christmas.

The former QPR youngster can play up front or out wide and has agreed a deal to stay until the end of the season.

Do not know much about Montrose but absolutely delighted to see Justin back. As long as we stay 442 he will get chances and he has proved since he have been gone that he can be a good finisher in this league. Bonus not being cuptied too. Suddenly im really looking forward to tomorrow. Pity its only for a month. Oh well beggars cant be choosers..

Seems montrose is a bit hit and miss apparently from gills fans

I guess Rosie's good relationship with the Gill's boss helped push the Montrose deal through!! ;-)

Ha Ha could not afford Coxy as most of your dosh goes to line Kassam's pockets so Wilder goes and signs players that are cast offs but hey at least they are cheap. Sounds like Cox is going to another league two side a bit nearer the top of the division so at least he has been saved from heading for the conference. Nice to see the Kassam stadium getting decent crowds at long last by the Oh sorry its not the Pox its the London Welsh Ha Ha Ha.

Good to see a league 2 forward sign, let's hope Richards can do the business whilst here. Don't know much about Montrose, but we need bodies for the midfield so this is positive.
Jury out on Parker.

Lets make the upset happen today. COYY!!

Nice to see some positive posts about the new signings apart from the mindless drivel from down the road, It made no sense to sign Cox as once Whing and Chapman returned he would be 3rd or 4th choice at best. Mikek, good luck in the cup today, OH sorry your lot were knocked out!

The cups are a distraction we are more concerned with back to back promotions and getting into the championship with one of the best managers in the game. Slightly worrying for you rabble as the gap will be two Divisions come May eat our dust Magiltonmagic As for Cox he will be heading to a proper football club with four stands Ha Ha.
