Oxford United goalkeeper in New Zealand squad

Max Crocombe has been included in the extended New Zealand Under 20 World Cup qualifying squad.

The 19-year-old, who has not yet played for United's first-team, is in the 26-man squad for the Oceania Football Confederation tournament.

New Zealand will cut the list to 20 players before the competition, which will be held in Fiji in March.

If successful they will go through to the FIFA Under 20 World Cup, which begins in Turkey in June.

Crocombe said: "I am really pleased and proud to get the call up.

"There is a lot of work still to do before the final 20 is announced but it is exciting news and something I am really looking forward to."

Can't get into the Oxford squad, so therefore OUFC are better than New Zealand.
As we beat Bradford, we must also be better than Villa.

Football logic :-)
