60 applicants and another 10 IL would like to interview and that was weeks ago. A new Pope gets elected faster.

Just as well us fans aren't making such a critical decision. The last thing we need is a knee jerk reaction.
IL appoints a new manager in a week and gets it wrong - everyone moans, bides his time and allows a few weeks to make an informed and logistical decision and everyone moans. I really feel sorry for anyone in IL position, we must sound like the worst bunch of unappreciative moaners.
It's just as well IL has a thick skin and isn't susceptible to the people who want the best for this club but won't allow the 'necessary' time.
If it isn't Wilder it's the players, if it's not the players it's ML, if it isn't ML it's IL. If it isn't IL it's another two letter abbreviation.
Just look at who we are as a club and have a look at some of the others - Portsmouth anyone?
It has been a very long time since I felt a ounce of safety in anyone concerned with running the club and I finally feel the club is safe in IL hands.
...and no I'm not associated with IL neither am I being paid..but I am open to offers, IL?

Dissappointing, really dissappointing! The players say they want Mickey Lewis and this is the way they reward him. No joke! I get tired of players before games says they are going to do this or do that and then perform poorly during the game. Time to not to talk the talk, but walk the walk!

They have the ability, but going to sleep at the start of the first half and consistently giving away goals in the ten minutes, just does not cut it.
Need a bit more pace going forward, instead of trying to walk the ball into the net to find they have given the opposition time to cover their lines.

If we get a new manager now, at least he will be place for the end of season contract negotations. I would to see Lewis being manager. But there comes a point where results count, just as winning and scoring goals and sloppy defending count. Some of these 'senior' players should step up to the plate.

It is blatantly obvious ML is not up to the job, and for the chairman to leave him to take the flak for his own inertia is despicable.
The team's position in the table is looking more and more precarious, the attendances are falling alarmingly- yet the chairman appears to be blasé about it, does he care? If he does then he will have to move quickly and get in another manager THIS WEEK.
Failure to even attempt to bring about such a move will, for me, be a clear indication of the (Lack of) ambition with the board of OUFC.

We are in a mess right now, and the reason for it is not giving WIlder the new contract that he clearly deserved. You can't just let his contract run out and expect him to carry on chirpily, with no guarantee of an extension....

IL has invested a fair bit into the club already, so pursuing with ML is understandable financially - but footballing wise it is madder than the dog himself. Wilder was the man. Now we have no nous left.

I don't think we are gonna even make the play-offs. Surely that failure, 87, would have you agree that something has gone badly wrong in recent months....

The current alarming poor form would have happened under Wilder, because that would fall into line with previous seasons under him so I don't blame Lewis entirely, he's trying and has the club at heart, he's just not a manager and never will be.

While Patience finding the right man is key, we're at a very critical point in the season, the loan window will also soon close, Lenegan's dithering is just making it worse, by the time new manager arrives it may to late to arrest the slump.

Poor chairmanship whichever angle you look at it
