Oxford United are understood to have spoken to former Scunthorpe United goalkeeper Sam Slocombe about a possible move to the Kassam Stadium.
The 26-year-old made 115 appearances for the Iron after joining from local side Bottesford Town in 2008.
Slocombe did not appear for the first team since breaking an arm in January and is understood to have spoken to a couple of clubs, including Oxford and York City, who are managed by former Scunthorpe boss Russ Wilcox.
Keepers Ryan Clarke and Max Crocombe are under contract with United, although the future of Clarke appears to be up in the air after boss Michael Appleton told the Oxford Mail last month that he would not stand in his way if he wanted to leave.
