OXFORD United supporters are being encouraged to dig out shirts from the back of their wardrobe to take part in retro day.
Fans responded to a similar call on the final day of last season, away at Newport County.
Following the success, #retroufc is aiming to turn the Kassam Stadium into a wander down memory lane for the game against Yeovil Town tomorrow.
Tim Walker had the idea several years ago and is delighted United have helped to promote the day.
He said: “I have a wardrobe of shirts I never get to wear and it’s nice to have an excuse to put one of them back on.
“The thing about it is it works for all generations, retro means different things to different people.
“We’re just trying to bring a bit more colour into the stadium and celebrate our proud history.”
Getting involved has been an enjoyable experience for the 45-year-old, who lives in Stone, near Aylesbury.
He said: “I haven’t really worked with the Yellow Army much in the past.
“It’s really opened my eyes to how dedicated the fans are in giving up their time to help the club.
“There are some incredibly talented people out there who think nothing about giving up their time to improve the atmosphere.
“This has been a fan-driven event.
“I’m sure it’s not unique to our club, but I don’t see a lot of it happening elsewhere.
“I think it underlines the potential here.”
