KEMAR Roofe will train with Oxford United this morning as he bids to be fit in time for their promotion-deciding clash with Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.
The 26-goal forward has not done a session since since pulling out last Friday with the ankle problem which has been troubling him in recent weeks.
It meant he sat out their 2-0 win at Carlisle United last weekend, but Roofe will train with the rest of the squad at the Kassam Stadium this morning.
United will be hoping he comes through without any problems ahead of the clash with the Chairboys, where a win would clinch automatic promotion.
And Roofe is desperate for good news.
He said: "I'll see how it goes today and we'll get a better answer after training.
"In my head I just want to play.
"I'd probably go for the risk and make it happen on Saturday."
