RANDLES Barbara Aged 93 years peacefully at Bridge House Care Home on 11th July. Beloved wife to the late Mike and a much loved mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed. Funeral service to take place at St Nicolas Church, Abingdon at 12noon on Tuesday 30th July. Family flowers only please. Donations are gratefully received for St Nicolas Church and Kennington Memory Club. (In celebration of a long and happy life please wear bright colours). It is with the deepest of regret that I heard of the sad news of Barbara's passing (From "Vron") - and further that I could not get out of work to attend the funeral. It has been my happy association, and privilege to have known both Mike and Barbara since Mike took me under his wing when I was 16 at Larkmead School (an angry young lad, from a broken home, who needed direction to channel all the emotions I was experiencing) - Mike mentored me from then and throughout my career in the Royal Navy - when on leave I would pop in and see Mike and Barbara many a time........I thank them, both, for such a special and unique friendship - God Bless you. - Ian Waterhouse (Joyce)
