PORTER Janet and Garth Janet passed away in Sobel House on 29 Feb 2020 Aged 66 years, Garth her much loved, adored husband and soul mate spent time with the help of the family arranging her funeral, mixed with grieving the great loss of his beloved wife and best friend. On the evening of 12 March he felt unwell and started to lose his sight, an ambulance was called he was taken to John Radcliffe Hosp. On admission it was discovered he had a Cerebral Haemorrhage, shortly after a ruptured aorta was discovered and He was put on a life support machine at approximately just after 9am on the Morning 16th March 16 days after the death of his loved and devoted wife He passed and they were reunited. God moves in a mysterious way, His wonders to perform. The family wish to pass their grateful thanks to the Ambulance Team and all the medical staff for the support and kindness as well as their professional knowledge at the time. The Funeral will take place at St Peters Church Didcot on Friday 27 March at 10:30am. Bearing in mind the Government Warnings to keep groups small and persons over 70 not to attend we leave the choice to yourselves. There will be no reception due to Government advice. After the brief funeral the interment will follow in Didcot Cemetery at approximately 11:00am leaving from the church and walking to Didcot Cemetery where you will be welcome to pay your respects again it is your choice but please keep a safe distance suggested as 2 metres apart. Rest in peace Garth my old friend from years ago. Sadly missed mate sorry we could not attend because of being on lockdown.
