SMITHERS Peter On Friday 17th July 2020, Peter Smithers, loving husband to Ann and devoted father to his daughter Nickie, passed away peacefully at the age of 82, at sobel house hospice, Oxon. Peter also leaves his step son, Philip, and his 5 grandchildren and great granddaughter whom he loved dearly. Peter will be greatly missed by all.

Dear Ann, Nickie & Philip & family. I was so sorry to see that Peter had recently passed away. I was privileged to work with Peter for a short spell at RAL before he retired. He was a lovely man and was very good to me, even though I was fostered on him at short notice. I valued his advice & guidance as he was a fountain of knowledge when it came to the workings of Stores. I am sure he will definitely be missed by all who knew him and particularly those who kept in touch with him after he retired. My thoughts go to you and Peter at this sad time. Peter Cutler
