Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Eynsham, Witney Road Temporarily allow access for HGVs

Date of Order: 29 July 2019 Coming into force: 5 August 2019 This Order is being introduced because of public safety concerns regarding access for HGVs which are anticipated to take up to 18 months to complete.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily allow access to HGV vehicles proceeding along Witney Road as far as Thornbury Road to and from the A40.

Additionally a point restriction to the south of Thornbury Road, prohibiting HGVtrafficfrom proceeding further south on Witney Road at a point 750m from its junction with A40 for a distance of 5 metres.

These are a variation to the Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads, Eynsham) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 1983

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner T6897/RAG

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Bampton Footpath No.20 Closure Date ofOrder: 29 July2019

Coming into force: 1 August 2019 This Order is being introduced because of bridge repair works which are anticipated to take 6 months to complete. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily Footpath No. 20 (from the junction with Footpath no. 24, then North to the airfield boundary - dead end). Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of footpath. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. There is no alternative route. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref.T6901/SJ)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Netherton, unnamed road leading to Northfield Farm Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 12 August 2019 Coming into force: 19 August 2019 This Order is being introduced because of carriageway patching works which are anticipated to be completed on 30 August 2019. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the un-named road between the Netherton Lane /Marsh Lane, crossroads, Netherton; and the A415 at Appleton Road crossroads, Longworth. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Netherton Road, Appleton and Oaksmere Road, Appleton to the A420, and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
