NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The Icknield Way is partly a BOAT (Byway Open to all Traffic) and a Restricted Byway, and between Wantage and Harwell forms part of the Science Vale Cycle Network.

The order seeks to regulate pedestrian traffic and classes of vehicle considered appropriate to use the rights of way as they are improved. The aim therefore is to prohibit use by Motor Vehicles and in part horse-drawn carriages between Lockinge and East Hendred.

The sections of byway run from the junction with Well Street, Lockinge (map ref. SU4329 8749) to the junction with Newbury Road, East Hendred (map ref. SU4601 8782). BOAT numbers: 285/8/10,108/12/10,108/12/20, 403/9/30, 403/9/40, 403/9/50, 403/9/60, and RB number: 199/17/10 Use will continue to be permitted for pedestrians, cycles, horses, disabled persons wheelchairs and powered mobility conveyances, and for access by agricultural land users, highway maintenance vehicles and refuse collection. or in person at County Hall, Oxford, OX1 1ND, between 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday; and at Wantage Library, Stirlings Road, OX12 7BB, from 9am to 8pm Monday & Friday, 9am to 5.30pm Tuesday & Wednesday, 9am to 1pm Thursday, and from 9am to 4.30pm Saturday. Objections to the proposal, specifying the grounds on which they are made and any other representations should be sent in writing to the address below no later than Friday 13th September 2019. The County Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Wantage, Ham Road Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting Date ofOrder: 27August2019 Coming into force: 30 August 2019 This Order is being introduced because of highway maintenance which is anticipated to take 12 days to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding orwaiting in Ham Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Ham Rd -Denchworth Rd - A417 - A338 - Grove St - Wallingford St - A338 - Ickleton Road (B4507) and vice-versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner (Ref T6541/MR)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Stanford in the Vale, Bow Road Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date ofOrder: 27August2019 Coming into force: 2 September 2019 This Order is being introduced because of water main replacement work which is anticipated to take 2 months to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the whole length Bow Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Cottage Road - Faringdon Road (A417) - Fernham Road (B4508) & Bow Road and vice-versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref T6825/MR)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Shrivenham, A420 Prohibition of Right Turn Date ofOrder: 27August2019 Coming into force: 1 September 2019 This Order is being introduced because of construction works which are anticipated to take 18 months to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit a right turn from the northbound A420, eastwards into the construction access for the Legal and General residential development between Watchfield roundabout and the Highworth road overpass. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic affected by the restriction is to continue north to Watchfield roundabout and return south on the A420 for a left turn into the construction access. For vehicles leaving the site, the diversion is to travel south to the Gablecross roundabout towards Swindon.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner (Ref T6861/SJ)
