PROPOSAL FOR REDEVELOPING THE RADCLIFFE SCIENCE LIBRARY AND ADJOINING BUILDINGS
We would like to Invite you to our upcoming public consultation In relation to proposals to transform Oxford's historic Radcliffe Science Library by modernising existing library areas, creating new spaces for public engagement and for housing the University's museum collections, and establishing a new graduate college, Parks College.
The sites identified for redevelopment include the two main buildings of the Radcliffe Science Library (the Jackson and Worthington Buildings), a large basement beneath the Library's courtyard and the front lawn of the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, and two adjoining buildings, the western wing of the Inorganic Chemistry Lab and Abbot's Kitchen.
We are holding a public consultation event as set out below which will explain the proposals for the buildings. There will be an opportunity to provide feedback on the proposals and all feedback received will be taken into account in progressing the proposals.
A planning application and listed building consent application for the proposals is due to be submitted in January 2020.
The public consultation event will take place as follows:
Date / Time: Friday 4 October 2019 between 4pm and 7pm
Saturday 5 October 2019 between 10am and 1pm
Venue: Radcliffe Science Library, Parks Road, Oxford, OX1 3QP
