WEST STREET, WEST QUAY ROAD AND THE QUAY, POOLE TOWNSIDE ACCESS HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENTS TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.
WHAT & WHERE: WEST STREET, WEST QUAY ROAD AND THE QUAY.
- A temporary ban of HGVs Including coaches travelling along both West Street and West Quay Road between Bay Hog Lane and New Quay Road/Blandford Road junction due to lane closures and width restrictions from Monday 6 January 2020 until Monday 30 March 2020.
West Street lane closure between Bay Hog Lane and Poole Bridge - anticipated dates Monday 6 January until Friday 21 February 2020.
West Quay Road lane closure between Bay Hog Lane and Poole Bridge - anticipated dates Monday 3 February until Friday 20 March 2020.
- A temporary suspension of the Weight Restriction traffic order on  Blandford Road from the borough boundary to its junction with Bridge Approach - anticipated dates: Monday 6 January until Monday 30 March 2020.
- No parking (no waiting at any time and no loading/ unloading at any time) - suspension of the parking bay in West Street from a point 85 metres from its junction with The Quay/West Quay Road to its junction with Bay Hog Lane - anticipated dates: Monday 6 January until Monday 2 March 2020.
- Suspension of the two-way traffic order to one-way only - access only for vehicles travelling onto the Quay from West Street. Anticipated dates: Monday 6 January until Monday 10 February 2020.
WHY: Continuation and completion of the wider Townside Access Highway Improvement Works by BCP Council.
ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained. Access for residents and businesses will remain depending on site safety. Bus services will be maintained.
DIVERSION ROUTE FOR HGV's including coaches:
Via Bay Hog Lane/Twin Sails Bridge/Rigler Road/ Blandford Road.
These arrangements may be extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations and restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months.
The Council regrets any inconvenience to the public caused by this Traffic Order, these works have been planned to minimise disruption as far as possible for residents, businesses and other road users
