(CHECKENDON PARISH, 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 20**

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order is to reiterate that the below 30mph speed limit has been brought in but the proposed 20mph limit is still under consideration and when additional traffic calming measures have been investigated and funding has been sourced, this will also be brought into effect. The existing order will therefore be revoked and replaced.

The change to the 30mph limit is in Exlade Street in place of the national (60mph) speed limit (from a point 345 metres southeast of Main Street for 500 metres). This consultation is towards implementing the 20mph Speed Limit in part of Main Road in place of the current 30mph limit (from a point 232 metres south of Whitehall Lane for 345 metres).The Oxfordshire County Council (Checkendon Parish) (Speed Limits) Order 2019 will be revoked/replaced.

Objections to the proposal, specifying the grounds on which they are made and any other representations should be sent in writing to the address below no later than 21 February 2020. The County Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public. (Ref. (CITY OF OXFORD) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 20**

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council

proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The order will update/replace the existing Oxfordshire County Council (City of Oxford) (20 mph Speed Limit) Order 2018 as follows:

1) In consequence of continued works towards improved 'Access to Headington' the existing 20mph speed limit in Windmill Road will be extended to cover the whole length road (currently from London Road crossroads to No.18 Windmill Road). This had previously been proposed in 2017 and agreed by OCC Committee but due to the passage of time is being re-consulted.



2) As part of the plans to improve the western access route, to extend the 20mph limit on the Botley Road westwards out of Oxford to a point 162 metres west of the centre of Binsey Lane (near Waitrose). An earlier consultation covered a shorter length.
