LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY NO. 194 - GROVE ROAD TO GASTON ROAD FOOTBRIDGE
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to Facilitate refurbishment works to a footbridge comprising part of the Public Right of Way (PROW) No. 194, also known as the Grove Road to Gaston Road footbridge, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians from entering or proceeding in the length of PROW No. 194 which lies between Grove Road and Gaston Road.

2. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

3. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any person engaged in the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform.

4. Pedestrians affected by the footpath closure should proceed by way of PROW No. 194, Laburnum Path, Laburnum Road, Eastfields Road and Grove Road or vice-versa.

5. The Order would come into force on Friday 20th March 2020 and it is anticipated the works would be completed by 20th July 2020. However, the Order would remain in force for 6 months should further bridge works be required.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) DENMARK AVENUE AND THORNTON HILL, WIMBLEDON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton, hereby give notice that to facilitate gas mains replacement and associated works in Denmark Avenue and Thornton Hill, Wimbledon, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said roads.

2. During the works no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) enter or proceed in:-

(i) Denmark Avenue, from its junction with Worple Road to a point 10 metres north-west of the common boundary of Nos. 26 and 27 Denmark Avenue; or

(ii) Thornton Hill, between its junction with Worple Road and the south-western boundary of No. 22 Thornton Hill; or

(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle, in the lengths of Denmark Avenue and Thornton Hill specified in sub­paragraph 2(a) above.

3. Any designated parking place, situated in the lengths of Denmark Avenue and Thornton Hill specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above will be suspended for the duration of the works in those roads or lengths of road.

4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or lengths of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference.

6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closures should proceed as follows:-

(a) during the closure of Denmark Avenue, via St John's Road, Thornton Road, Thornton Hill and Worple Road, or vice versa;

(b) during the closure of Thornton Hill, via Worple Road, Denmark Avenue, St John's Road and Thornton Road, or vice versa.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

8. The Order will come into force on Monday 2nd March 2020 and it is expected that the works will be completed by Friday 26th June 2020. However, the Order will remain in force for a period of 6 months should further works be required.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
ROUGEMONT AVENUE, SM4 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton, hereby give notice that to facilitate gas mains replacement and associated works in Epsom Road, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Rougemont Avenue.

2. During the works no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) turn left or right into Rougemont Avenue from Epsom Road;

(b) enter or proceed in Rougemont Avenue, from its junction with Epsom Road, south-eastward for a distance of 50 metres; or

(c) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle, in the

length of Rougemont Avenue specified in paragraph 2(b) above.
3. Any designated parking place, situated in the length of Rougemont Avenue specified in sub-paragraph 2(b) above will be suspended for the duration of the works in that road or length of road.

4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference.

6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed by way of Epsom Road, Holne Chase and Torrington Way or vice-versa.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

8. The Order will come into force on Monday 24th February 2020 and it is expected that the works will be completed by 30th June 2020. However, the Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(BEDDINGTON LANE, CROYDON ROAD AND WINDMILL ROAD, MITCHAM)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate highway improvement works to be undertaken in Beddington Lane, Croydon Road and Windmill Road, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit pedestrian and vehicular traffic in Windmill Road, and prohibit pedestrian traffic and waiting by vehicles in Beddington Lane and Croydon Road.

2. During the works, no person shall cause any vehicle to:

(a) enter, proceed in or wait in the road or length of road specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice; or

(b) turn left or right from Croydon Road into Windmill Road; or

(c) proceed from Beddington Lane into Windmill Road;

(d) wait, including for the purpose loading or unloading a vehicle in:

(i) Beddington Lane, from its junction with Croydon Road south­eastward for a distance of 70 metres; or

(ii) Croydon Road, from a point 70 metres north-west of its junction with Windmill Road to a point 70 metres south-east of its junction with Windmill Road.

3. Alternative routes for diverted vehicular traffic would be indicated by advance warning and diversion signs on the roads affected when the works are in progress but would likely be the diversion routes specified in column 2 of the Schedule to this notice.

4. Whilst the works are in progress, pedestrians would be prohibited on the footways up to 60 metres from the Croydon Road/Windmill Road/ Beddington Lane junction, as and when required. Alternative routes for pedestrians would be provided.

5. The restrictions would apply only during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

6. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) emergency service vehicles, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

8. The Order would come into force on Monday 9th March 2020 and the anticipated works dates for the closure of Windmill Road are specified in column 3 of the Schedule to this notice. It is anticipated that the footway closures and the waiting restrictions in Beddington Lane and Croydon Road would apply until 31 st May 2020. However, the Order would remain in operation for a maximum period of 12 months and its provisions would be re-introduced should further works be required.

(CANNON HILL LANE, COMMONSIDE EAST, CRICKET GREEN AND RUSTIC AVENUE)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate a programme of carriageway resurfacing and general maintenance works to be undertaken in the roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which, during the works, would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, proceeding in or waiting, including in any parking places, in those roads or lengths of roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice.

2. Any designated parking place situated in any of the roads or lengths of roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice would be suspended for the duration of the works in those roads or lengths of roads.

3. The restrictions and suspensions would apply only during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Alternative routes for diverted traffic would be indicated by advance warning and diversion signs on the roads affected when the works are in progress but would likely be those diversion routes specified in column 2 of the Schedule to this notice.
