ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) & (7) Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Wantage, Market Place area Prohibition of Motor Vehicles & Parking Suspension Restrictions commenced: 4 July 2020 Date of Order: 13 July 2020 Coming into force:20 July 2020 This Order continues in force an emergency notice commenced 4 July 2020 to temporarily close the parts of roads for social distancing works under COVID-19 Regulations which is anticipated to be in effect for one year. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle using the western end of Market Place (beyond Barclays Bank), also the southern end of Alfred Street and the northern part of Church Street including suspending parking. Appropriate signs are displayed to indicate the measures are in force. Exceptions are included for emergency service vehicles, for the works and access to property. Alternative routes are signed locally. The relevant parts of the Oxfordshire County Council) (Wantage) (Traffic Regulation) Order 1994 (as amended) which permit parking will be temporarily suspended. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the measures have been completed whichever is the sooner (Ref.
