TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS -WANDSWORTH BRIDGE SW18
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Wandsworth Bridge to facilitate refurbishment works.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Wandsworth Bridge as below -

Phases 1-3 (above deck works) 29/06/20 to 02/09/20
- East and West footway closures from Jews Row to Carnwath Road as scaffolding will be erected and hoarded off on the footway (approximately 1000mm width).

- Cycle track closure/suspension to allow pedestrians to use this area of 'footway' whilst scaffolding is in situ.

- Northbound directional closure to complete joint works. This will be required for 6 nights during the works.

- Southbound suspension of bus lane restrictions to allow general traffic to be diverted into bus lane.

Phase 4 - Main works - 29/06/20 - 29/08/21
- East and west footway closures from Jews Row to Carnwath Road as scaffolding will be erected and hoarded off on the footway (approximately 1000mm width).

- Cycle track closure/suspension to allow pedestrians to use this area of 'footway' whilst scaffolding is in situ.

- Temporary widening of southbound bus lane from Carnwath Road to opposite Jews Row from existing 3.5m to 4m to facilitate southbound cycle movements within bus lane to provide facility on carriageway to allow pedestrians to use eastern cycle track on the footway.

Temporary northbound cycle lane to provide facility on carriageway to allow pedestrians to use western cycle track on the footway.
Additional amendment - 02/11/20 - 31/08/21
- Closure of the access ramp/footway from the riverside walk (Riverwalk G) to Wandsworth Bridge on the north west side of the bridge to facilitate works associated to the Wandsworth Bridge refurbishment scheme.

3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

5. The order will come into operation on 29 June 2020 and will remain in force for up to 18 months or until the works are complete.
