CAPWORTH STREET AND SKELTONS LANE-E10 ROADS - SPEED HUMPS RUTLAND ROAD AND DEVONSHIRE ROAD - E17 ROADS - SPEED TABLE (T39ab(20))
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council, in accordance with Sections 90A and 90C of the Highways Act 1980, the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 as amended, proposes to
(a) introduce new road/speed humps in:
i. Capworth Street (CAP) - between (1) Nos. 58 and 60 CAP (x1) (2) Nos. 44 and 46 CAP (x1) and (3) between Bromley Road and entrance to Tesco car park (x1); and
ii. Skeltons Lane (SKE) Between (1) Nos. 14 and 16 SKE (x1), (2) Nos. 59 and 63 SKE (x1), (3) Nos. 89 and 91 SKE (x1) and (4) Nos. 96 and 98 SKE(x1);
(b) introduce a raised speed table at the intersection of Rutland Road E17 and Devonshire Road E17 (1) between the north-east facing boundary of No. 75 Devonshire Road E17 and Winton, Rutland Road E17; and (2) between the south-east kerb line of Rutland Road and a point 1 metre south-east of the common boundary of Nos. 73 and 75 Devonshire Road
The mad/speed humps and tables would be elevated sections of carriageway, between 75 and 100 millimetres higher at their highest point than the surrounding carriageway, extending across the full width of the carriageway. All lengths mentioned in 1 (b) above include the gradients.
2. Any person desiring to object to or to make any other representation with regards to the measures set out in item 1 above, should send a statement in writing of either their objection and the grounds thereof or of their representation to Traffic Orders, Highways and Traffic Management, Low Hall, Argall Avenue, London, E10 7AS or by emailing:
quoting reference T39a(20) -Speed humps Capworth St / Skeltons Ln E10 or T39b(20) speed table Rutland Road E17 by the end of a period of 21 days from the date on which this Notice is published. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
