ENVIRONMENT AGENCY Water Resources Act 1991 (as amended by the Water Act 2003) Notice of application for a full licence to abstract (take) water Stroud District Council has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006. The application Is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Frame at National Grid Reference (NGR) SO 83005 04619.

The application Is to abstract water as follows:

? 4 cubic metres an hour ? 95 cubic metres a day



? 34,689 cubic metres a year ? Between 1 April and 31 March inclusive In each year.



The water will be used for the heating of Stroud District Council buildings at Ebley Mill. Further details are: This application is for the abstraction of water from the River Frame via an open loop water source heat pump.

The abstracted water will be discharged back Into the River Frame with a depleted reach of 3 metres at NGR SO 83003 04616. The abstraction Is located within the Frame Gloucs (C054022) catchment and the Severn Vale Catchment Abstraction Management Strategy area.
