Water Act 2003) Notice of application for a full licence to abstract
(take) water Forestry Commission has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006. The application is for a full licence to abstract water from well points in underground strata consisting of glacial sand and gravel arranged around a rectangular lagoon marked by straight lines running between the following National Grid References: SJ 58251 70219, SJ 58245 70276, SJ 58441 70293, SJ 58446 70254, and SJ 58231 70222. The application is to abstract water as follows:
? 2.84 cubic metres an hour ? 50 cubic metres a day
? 18,250 cubic metres a year ? Between 01 April and 31 March inclusive in each year
The water will be used for reservoir storage and subsequent spray irrigation.
