(LONG WITTENHAM PARISH) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order - due to road safety concerns raised by the Parish Council - Is to Introduce a 20mph speed limit throughout Long Wittenham village as follows. 20mph Speed Limit- replacing the existing 30mph speed limit within the village, leading out to the following points:
1. Didcot Road -a point 90 metres south of Saxons Heath,
2. Little Wittenham Road - a point 295 metres southeast of High Street,
3. Long Wittenham Road - a point 115 metres north of Little Wittenham Road.
The 30mph speed limit will remain on Sires Hill and partly on Long Wittenham Road.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Restricted Roads) (Long Wittenham Parish) Order 1999 will be revoked/replaced. Documents giving more details of the proposals are available for public inspection online by visiting:

Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by the 8 October 2021. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public. (Ref.
