West Moors, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures due to Maintenance and Resurfacing works and Dorset, Notice of Variation Off-Street Parking Places

Temporary Closure of Various Roads, West Moors

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 25th April 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 1st October 2022. These dates are a window of works an exact date will follow in turn.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.

[i] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Forest Road, West Moors (in both directions), a distance of approximately 100 metres.

[ii] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Firs Glen Road, West Moors(in both directions), a distance of approximately 325 metres.

[iii] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Station Road, West Moors (in both directions), a distance of approximately 315 metres.

[iV] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Oakhurst Road, West Moors (in both directions), a distance of approximately 620 metres.

V] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Woodside Road, West Moors (in both directions), a distance of approximately 180 metres.

[Vi] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Highfield Road, West Moors (in both directions), a distance of approximately 430 metres.

[Vii] To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along any road listed above.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles
Regulations 1986. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Notice will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.

Notice of Variation Off-Street Parking Places (Dorset) 2022

Dorset Council in exercise of powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers hereby make the following changes:

• Add 'Restricted Mobility Parking Permit' scheme to Schedule 2 of The Dorset Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022.

• Remove East Dorset Disabled Parking Permit and West Dorset Exemption Parking Permit from Schedule 1 of The Dorset Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022. All permits will continue to be valid until the expiry date stated.
