MORRELL AVENUE AND WARNEFORD LANE TEMPORARYTRAFFIC PROHIBITIONS ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION AcT 1984 SEcTION 14(1)&(7)

Morrell Avenue and Warneford Lane Date of Order: 8 May 2017 -In force: 19 May 2017

This Order is being introduced on public safety grounds to manage traffic and pedestrians during the Common People 2017 Event at South Parks. The event is being held in South Park OX4 1NT, Oxford and will operate over the May Bank Holiday weekend 27th and 28th of May and is organised by David Grindle, Suite 604a, Cotton Exchange, Bixteth St, Liverpool L3 9LQ. The effect of the Order is as follows:

(1) Morrell Avenue Suspend the first 2 *parking places opposite the junction with Cross Street, throughout 19th May-2nd June to facilitate the ingress and egress of site equipment (*2 hour parking, no return within 2 hrs 8am-6.30pm Mon-Sat, Permits Holders exempt);



(2) Close Morrell Avenue between St Clements and Union Street from 9.30pm to midnight on Saturday & Sunday 27 & 28 May (except access for residents of Glebe Street and for emergency services);



(3) Cross Street - closed between its junctions with Morrell Avenue and Rectory Road 27th & 28th May between 9.30pm and midnight;



(4) Warneford Lane - suspend all permitted parking on Warneford Lane north side adjacent to South Park throughout 27 & 28 May (Shuttle buses and a taxi rank will be provided).



The alternative route for the Morrell Avenue closure is clockwise via Headington Road/Hill (A420), Gipsy Lane, Warneford Lane and Morrell Avenue, and counter­clockwise via St.Clements Street, Iffley Rd (B480) and Divinity Road.

The relevant parking restrictions in The City of Oxford (Headington West) (Controlled Parking Zone) Order 2000 (as amended) and The Oxfordshire County Council (East Oxford) (Controlled Parking Zone, Waiting Restrictions and Traffic Management) Order 2010 (as amended) will be temporarily suspended to remove parking bays as above.

This Order will remain in force from 19 May 2017 for the duration only of the measures associated with the event.
