South Oxfordshire District Council Notice of intended disposal of nominated asset on the List of Assets of Community Value
Listed Asset: The Fleur de Lys 9 High Street, Dorchester on Thames, Wallingford, OX10 7HH
The council received notice on 27 May 2017 from the owners of The Fleur de Lys that they wish to dispose of the Land. There is now a six week interim moratorium period (commencing on the 27 May 2017 and ending on the 8 July 2017) when any community group can decide whether or not to be treated as a potential bidder. You must send your intention to be treated as a bidder in writing to the council by 8 July 2017 whereby a six month full moratorium period will commence which ends on 27 November 2017 (the six month moratorium includes the six week interim moratorium). The full moratorium period allows community interest groups time to develop plans and raise funds to bid for the Land. The owner of the Land will not be able to make a relevant disposal of the Land until the full moratorium period has ended. Please note that there is no obligation on the owner of the Land to sell to any community group.
Should no relevant disposal of the land be agreed before the end of the full moratorium, there will be a protected period during which the owner can sell the land on the open market. This protected period will end on 14 August 2018, this being the end date of the original 5 year listing.
