HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 118 NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER South Oxfordshire District Council (Public Footpaths, 359/1 (pt) & 359/5 (pt), Piccadilly Farm"Stadhampton) Extinguishment Order 2017.
On 13 June 2017 South Oxfordshire District Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order, as confirmed, will extinguish the full width of that part of Public Footpath 359/1 commencing at OS Grid Reference SU 6129 9822 (Point A on the Plan) and
running in a generally west north westerly direction for approximately 27 metres to OS Grid Reference SU
6126 9823 (Point B on the Plan), then running north westerly for approximately 13 metres to OS Grid Reference SU 6125 9823 (Point D on the Plan) and the
full width of that part of Public Footpath 359/5
commencing at OS Grid Reference SU 6126 9823
(Point B on the Plan) and running in a west south
westerly direction for approximately 14 metres to Grid Reference SU 6125 9822 (Point C on the Plan).
A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge at South Oxfordshire District Council,
135 Eastern Avenue, Milton Park, Milton, OX14 4SB from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £10
The Order comes into force upon certification by Oxfordshire County Council, but if any person
aggrieved by the order wishes to question its validity,
or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act
1980, as amended, or on the ground that any
requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been properly complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks of the date of this notice, make an application to the High Court.
