NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980,WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
The Oxfordshire County Council South Leigh Footpath No. 15 (part) Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2016
On 22nd June 2017, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order, made on 7th October 2016, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting 102m of South Leigh Fp 15 that runs from Station Road, South Leigh at OS Grid Reference SP 3923 0844 south-westwards through the garden of Stow Cottage to SP 3917 0836 to a line running for 100m from a point 10m further south-east along Station Road and running south-westwards alongside, and then across, a pasture field to SP 3917 0836 where it re-joins the existing footpath as shown on the Order map. Copies of the Order and Order map may be purchased from Oxfordshire County Council, Definitive Map and Commons, Speedwell House, Speedwell Street,Oxford OX1 1NE at the price of £3:50 per copy The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 6th July 2017 make an application to the High Court.
