2.) (OXFORD CENTRAL AREA) (DESIGNATION AND REGULATION OF STREET PARKING PLACES) (VARIATION N0.7) ORDER 20**
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that OxfordshireCounty Council proposes to makethe above Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
Order 1) will update/replace the existing Oxfordshire County Council (City of Oxford) (20 mph Speed Limit) Order 2009 as follows:
- inconsequence of road works associated with the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter improvements, the 20mph speed limit will be extended in Woodstock Road to run from its junction with St Giles northwards to apoint 212 metres north of Little Clarendon Street (was 67metres). - inconsequence of continued works towards improved "Access to Headington" the 20mph speed limit will be extended to coverthe whole length of Windmill Road (currently from London Road crossroads to No.l8 Windmill Road). Order 2) will shorten two Pay & Display Parking bays on the west side of Woodstock Road and remove one (a reduction of 29 metres leaving 9l metres of parking.) Note: There will also be enhancements including a textured central reservation, improved pavements and 2 new Bus Stop provided - southeast side of Woodstock Road outside Nos. 38 & 40; and northwest side, opposite the northern boundary of the Public House at No.44. Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made maybe sent in writing to the address below (or via the web address above) by no later than 11 August 2017. The County Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.
