NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT I980,WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDEACT 1981
The Oxfordshire County Council Denchworth Footpath No. 2 (part) Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2017
On 25th September 2017, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order, made on 8th August 2017, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting 160m of Denchworth Fp 2 that runs from east of Circourt Bridge at OS Grid Reference SU 3783 9100 south-south-westwards to SU 3780 909 1, west-south-westwards and then south-westwards to SU 3778 9089 (approximately 2m north of the London to Bristol railway) and then southwards across the railwayviaafootpath level crossing to the railway's southern boundary at SU 3778 9085. to a line running for 217m from SU 3783 9100, south-south-westwards and southwards to the London to Bristol railway SU 37784 90886, eastwards, southwards and westwards over a footbridge to SU 3778 9086 and then south-westwards to the railway's southern boundary at SU 3778 9085 (Point D) where it re-joins the existing footpath as shown on the Order map. A copy of the Order is available online at www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/cms/public-site/consultation. Alternatively a copy has been placed and may be seen free of charge during opening hours at: Grove Library, Millbrook Square, Grove, Wantage OXI2 7LB;telephone 01235 763841. Copies of the Order and Order map may be purchased from Oxfordshire County Council, Definitive Map and Commons, Speedwell House, Speedwell Street, Oxford OX1 1NE at the price of £3:50 per copy. The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act I980 (theAct), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act I98I (WCA) or on the ground that anyrequirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 19th October 2017 make an application to the High Court.
