Notice of Temporary Traffic Order Bayworth & Sunningwell Parish Footpath closure Date of Order: 16 May 2016 Came into force: 20 May 2016 This order was introduced because of the dangerous condition of Footpath No. 327/8 which runs from Quarry Road, Bayworth northwards to Footpath 372/6. The timescale of the remedial works is yet to be finalised due to the need to prioritise more essential services. Also, negotiations to re-route the right of way have not been successful.
This order was introduced because of the dangerous condition of Footpath No. 327/8 which runs from Quarry Road, Bayworth northwards to Footpath 372/6. The effect of the order, for public safety reasons is to prohibit persons from proceeding in the above footpath as a through route.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for
remedial works and for access to properties which are
only accessible from the closed footpath.
The alternative route is either via the public footpaths to
the west - 372/7, 372/3 &o 372/6, or by road via Quarry
Road, Brumcombe Lane to Bayworth Mobile Home Park
and west on Footpath 372/6 or vice versa.
This order, with the consent of the Secretary of State for
Transport will remain in force until 19 November 2019
or until the works have been completed whichever is
the sooner.
