NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OFAN ORDER PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT

The Oxfordshire County Council, Sonning Common Footpath No. 11 (part) Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2017
On 4th December 20l7,the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order, made on 10th July 2017, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting 264m of Sonning Common Fp 11 that runs from OS Grid Reference SU 7172 8024 at Blackmore Farm, north-westwards along the edge of a paddock, then north-eastwards, north-westwards and then north-northeastwards across an arable field to Blounts Court Road at SU 7175 8045 to a line runningfor 415m from SU 7172 8024 north-eastwards and then north-westwards to SU 7167 8029, and which continues north-north-eastwards directly across an arable field to SU 71768 80429 then northwestwards, west-north-westwards and northwards to SU 7l62 805l at Blounts Court Road directly opposite Rotherfield Peppard Br 14.The diversion will include a 2m line running from SU 71768 80429 to SU 71769 80431 at Blounts Court Road directly opposite Sonning Common Fp 10 as shown on the Order map.

The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act l980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act l98l (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has notbeen complied with in relation to the Order,he or she may,under paragraph 2 ofSchedule 2 to theAct as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7)WCA, within six weeks from 25 January 2018 make an application to the High Court.
