OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (SHRIVENHAM) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under Sections 82 & 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
The effect of the Order, for road safety reasons related to ongoing development is to extend the existing 30mph speed limit (in place of the unrestricted 60mph) on the B4000 Highworth Road by 70 metres to a point 227 metres northwest of its junction with Sand Hill. The Oxfordshire County Council (Shrivenham) (Speed limits) Order 2016 will be revoked/ replaced.
Documents giving more details of the proposals are available for public inspection online by visiting: https://consultations. oxfordshire.gov.uk, or in person at County Hall, Oxford, OX1 1ND, between 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday; and at Faringdon Library, The Elms, Gloucester Street, SN7 7HY from 2pm to 5.30pm Monday & Wednesday, 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5.30pm Tuesday, 10am to 1pm & 2pm to 7pm Friday, and 9.30am to 1pm Saturday. Objections to the proposal, specifying the grounds on which they are made and any other representations should be sent in writing to the address below (or via the web address above) no later than 27 July 2018. The County Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made availableto the public.
