NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF SCHEDULE 14 SOUTH OXFORDSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL NON-DEFINITIVE 'CLAIMED' FOOTPATH (ST LEONARD'S CHURCH HALL SITE, WATLINGTON) DIVERSION ORDER 2018 On 12 July 2018 South Oxfordshire District Council confirmed the above Order. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the footpath as described in Schedule 1 of this notice and as shown on the Order map.
A copy of the Order and the Order map may be seen free of charge at the offices of South Oxfordshire District Council, 135 Eastern Avenue, Milton Park, Milton OX14 4SB from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Copies of the Order and map may be bought there at the price of £10.
This Order will come into force on the date that Oxfordshire County Council confirm any Definitive Map Modification Order made in respect of the claimed footpath and that the alternative highway as described in Part 2 of the Schedule is created to the
reasonable satisfaction of Oxfordshire County Council. If any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the
ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with
in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by
paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to that Act.
SCHEDULE PART 1
Description of site of footpath (A - E as indicated on the map) Path to be Extinguished The whole width of that part of the footpath commencing at Watlington Footpath 27 at Grid Reference SU 68479 94701 (Point A) and running in a generally east-south-
easterly direction then continuing in an easterly direction before a slight turn in an east-north-easterly direction for approximately 90 metres to Grid Reference SU 68566 94705 (Point E).
Description of site of alternative footpath (A-B-C-D-E as indicated on the map) Path to be Created
Public Footpath, 2 metres wide commencing at Watlington Footpath 27 at Grid Reference SU 68479 94701 (Point A), running in an easterly direction for approximately 9 metres via Grid Reference SU 68488 94700 (Point B) then arcing in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 26 metres via Grid Reference SU 68512 94690 (Point C) and then continuing in a north easterly direction for
approximately 50 metres via Grid Reference SU 68556 94713 (Point D) before turning and running south easterly for approximately 14 metres to Grid Reference SU 68566
94705 (Point E).
