HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 119 NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION AND COMING INTO EFFECT OF A PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION

ORDER

Vale of White Horse District Council Public Footpath, Shrivenham No 6

(Galleyherns Farm) Public Path Diversion Order 2017

On 17 September 2018 the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order, as confirmed, is to divert the public footpath commencing at Grid Reference SU 2646 8887 (Point A) and running in a generally easterly direction for a distance of approximately 368 metres to Grid Reference SU 2683 8887 (Point B) then running in an east north easterly direction for a distance of approximately 47 metres to Grid

Reference SU 2687 8889 (Point C) and then

running in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 42 meters to Grid Reference SU 2691 8890 (Point D) onto an alignment commencing at Grid Reference SU 2646 8887 (Point A) and running in an east north easterly direction for a distance of approximately 330

metres to Grid Reference SU 2677 8899 (Point

E) then running in a generally south easterly direction for a distance of approximately 170

metres to Grid Reference SU 2691 8890 (Point D)

as shown on the Order Map. A copy of the Order and the Order map may be seen free of charge at Vale of White Horse District Council, 135 Eastern Avenue, Milton Park, Milton, OX14 4SB from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Copies of the Order and map may be bought there at the price of £10. The Order as confirmed came into force on 8 November 2018 but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 19 November 2018 make an application to the High Court.
