Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Bicester, Launton Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 13 May 2019 Coming into force: 20 May 2019 This Order is being introduced because of power cable works which are anticipated to be completed on 7 June 2019. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in Launton Road between the nursing home and the junction with London Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
The alternative route for traffic is via London Road -Wretchwick Way - Charbridge Lane - A4421-Launton Road and vice versa
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner T.6312/RAG
(BICESTER) (TRAFFIC REGULATION) (AMENDMENT NO.17) ORDER 2019
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 13 May 2019 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order, which comes into force on 20 May 2019 is to further amend the Oxfordshire County Council (Bicester) (Traffic Regulation) Order 1992, introducing double yellow lines (prohibition ofwaitingatanytime)in thefollowinglengthsofroad: Pioneer Way both sides for its entire length. Hexham Road both sides for its entire length, including the spur that leads in a south westerly direction to its southern junction with Whitelands Way.
Whitelands Way* West side, from Vendee Drive, to north of Fontwell Road; East side, (i) from Vendee Drive to 55.5m north of the southern junction with Cartmel; (ii) from 68.5m north of the southern junction with Cartmel, to 26m north of the northern junction with Cartmel; (iii) from 24.5m south of Pioneer Way to 87.5m north of Fontwell Road. (* these locations reflect approved changes from those firstly consulted upon).
Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for public inspection at County Hall, New Road, Oxford OX1 1ND, from 8.30am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday, and at Bicester Library, Franklins House, Wesley Lane, OX26 6JU, from 9.30am to 7pm Monday, Wednesday & Thursday, 9.30am to 5pm Tuesday & Friday, and from 9am to 4.30pm Saturday. If you wish to question the validity of this Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of this Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to this Order, you may within six weeks from 13 May 2019 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
