Scales of Justice: The latest cases from Oxford Magistrates' Court
ANDREW ACHILLEOS, 62, of West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe, pleaded guilty to three counts of theft and one count of fraud by false representation. On March 14 this year, he stole £340 of alcohol from Tesco in Oxford, on April 4 he stole £900.90 of alcohol from Sainsburys in Oxford, and on December 15 last year he stole £476 of perfume from John Lewis in Oxford. The fraud by false representation count took place on February 8 this year when Achilleos was caught trying to use a bank card that did not belong to him to purchase £61.13 of alcohol from an Oxford petrol station. He was jailed for 20 weeks and ordered to pay £100 in compensation. There were no other orders for costs.
