SIXTH form students at an Oxfordshire school were treated to free ice cream after collecting their A-Level results this morning.

Staff at John Mason Secondary School in Wootton Road, Abingdon, ordered Mister Nice Cream, a mobile ice cream company, for students and staff to enjoy.

A-Level result collections started at the school from about 8.30am until 11am.

Herald Series:

Ed Duckham, head of the school’s sixth form, said it was a “pretty good” morning helping students confirm UCAS places.

He said: “Giving we were all conscious and anxious as we haven’t done this for three years, it’s been beyond relief today.

“It feels like we’re more back to normal, like it used to be, hard working kids getting the grades they deserve.”
