TRUE MEWS SETTING - Farley Mews in Farley Hill is a beautiful courtyard setting nestled in the countryside and once you have visited, you’ll be sold.

I dealt with these homes quite some years ago when being built, I fell in love with the setting then and still love it now. The development was allowed to be created on the understanding that the Castle itself was to be renovated into incredible homes and this still gives the most wonderful back drop to this day.

Having sold many of these Mew style homes since I always look forward to seeing what the individual owners have done to put their own stamp on them, the current owners have been here since new, so this home is no exception!

As you sweep around the well-maintained courtyard the planting and lighting is simple but effective, obviously particularly noticeable in the evenings it creates a welcoming feel as you drive into your own home. You’ll also notice the attention to detail used when these were built, feature pitches, brickwork and varying size and shaped windows give a great look.

Walking inside you can, very cleverly, see straight through to the back of the house into the large open plan living area and out onto the gardens beyond, a great first impression. You will get some idea looking through the pictures and, on the floorplan, but this is something that must be taken in in ‘real time’ in the flesh so to speak.

Moving upstairs we have four great bedrooms with a few lovely features. Starting with the master suite, another few steps up to this which really does give it that little bit extra, a special feeling as you enter. The free-standing tub is lovely, a deep bath set below the natural light coming through the Velux window above. The quality fittings run through out with some lovely bathroom furniture. Again, you can see the features of the angled window surrounds which give so much character. I think overall the balance of upstairs and downstairs is great and works well, might seem a strange point to make but quite often homes can feel unbalanced, and you can’t quite put your finger on it, but it really isn’t the case here.

Moving to the outside we have the most wonderful garden to show you, a real countryside feel, established treed boundaries and vast central lawn, just as it should be in my opinion but if you would like to create something more complex you can.

The raised terrace gives a private are to relax and entertain with a pathway leading off to access the double garage, quite rare in these homes and huge so no storage issues here and you can also actually fit cars in!...... whoever through that would be possible.

In summary this is a wonderfully deceiving, large and well-balanced home in the most wonderful setting and ready for you to come and take a private tour.
