The Property

This end of terrace Listed cottage dates from about 1830 and is of Limestone rubble construction. No's 5 & 7 were owned by siblings until the mid 1950's with an interconnecting door in the current cloakroom. The property has been in the same ownership since 1976 and while it has been re-roofed in recent years, now awaits updating. The south facing gardens are a particular feature, giving the cottage a country feel, yet it's a few minutes walk from the High Street and its amenities.

The Accommodation

The front door leads into a porch with staircase off and a cupboard housing the electricity meter and fuse box. A door leads into the sitting room with a gas fire. Under the stairs is a useful cloakroom and a sliding door leads to the galley kitchen. This has space for a cooker and a fridge, with a shelved pantry off, also housing the washing machine. The large first floor bedroom has a built-in cupboard housing the hot water tank and an under-stair cupboard with the gas boiler. On the second floor is a further bedroom with exposed beams and a built-in wardrobe, plus the bathroom with an electric shower over the bath.

Outside

There is a shared path to the side of the cottage leading to the porch. A shared gravelled path leads down through the garden with a well stocked border to the right hand side. There are four outbuildings in front of No. 7, the second and fourth belong to No. 5 and there is a sitting out area beyond with a rockery adjacent. A grass path leads onto a large expanse of lawn with fruit tress and two small sheds. The neighbour has a right-of-way through this area to their garden beyond.
