WHAT could be better than everyone’s favourite singing orphan Annie? How about two of them? For it’s next all-singing, all-dancing production, Wantage’s Jigsaw Stage Productions is offering two Annies for the prices of one.
The troupe have cast 10-year-old Lottie Parker from Didcot and 11-year-old Tess Palmer from Uffington in the role and they will take it in turns to bring Annie to life. Lottie, who goes to Ladygrove Park Primary in Didcot, is no stranger to the stage: she has just finished a 30-show run in Aladdin at Oxford Playhouse.
She said: “I love being on stage and performing for people, but I also love rehearsing and meeting new people. I think I’m a good singer – I love singing.”
The rest of the Jigsaw cast said they were also very excited to be performing Annie with “such a lovely team of talented children”.
The show is to be staged at The Beacon, Wantage, from April 6-9 and at The Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot from April 14-16.
Tickets will be available from both venues, and other local outlets in due course.
