A SING-ALONG celebration of the 'top of the pops' continues its toe-tapping tour around southern Oxfordshire this week.

Wantage Stage Musical Company will be putting on its 'Number Ones concert' (60 years of number one songs) again on Friday and Saturday night.

The show has already won fans from outings this weekend at Grove's Old Mill Hall and Drayton Village Hall.

Organiser Andrew Martin said: "If you loved the charts as a child and remember listening to the countdown then no matter what age you are now you’ll love this concert, which celebrates number ones through the ages.

"Whether you grew up as a mod, a glam rocker, a punk, a disco bunny or rapper there’s something for everyone with hits from the 50s to the current day.

"Come and listen to hits from the likes of Bill Haley, The Monkeys, ABBA, Queen, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry given the WSMC twist."

Catch the show at Hagbourne Village Hall on Friday night or the Old Mill Hall Grove on Saturday.

Doors open at 7pm both nights for a 7.30pm start.

Tickets: £9 (£7 concessions) available from Bretts Chemist, Grove; East Hagbourne Post Office, A L Vickery & Son, Drayton or online at WSMC-music.co.uk
