David came to WGS like a breath of fresh air. His enthusiasm and friendly approach inspired us to ‘put in the effort’. He brought structure to cricket, hockey and rugby coaching, whilst doing all the hard graft of preparing wickets and pitches. Eventually, he also coached my sons: Michael to play hockey and cricket for Wallingford; and Julian to play football for Wallingford.
Thank you for all you did for my family.

A great teacher both sports and maths as I remember - always friendly and cheerful. Could share a joke. Paul Slinn WGS 1964-71
