HUNDREDS of people flocked to a bridge in Witney to take part in one of the stranger World Championships you are likely to find.
The World Pooh Sticks Championships, which were held for a second year at Langel Common yesterday, sees competitors drop sticks off one side of a bridge and "race" them to the other.
A total of 20 teams and hundreds of individuals signed up to enter the game, which was first invented by Winnie the Pooh creator AA Milne, and competed in glorious sunshine on Sunday.
More to come in tomorrow's Oxford Mail.
